BHAI organised Global Bhojpuri Movement's meeting at Guwahati

·         Bhojpuri association of India (BHAI) in collaboration with The Sunday Indian, Bhojpuri organized a historic meeting under its Global Bhojpuri Movement campaign at Assam

·         Two Editors of Hindi Dailies announced to join the Global Bhojpuri Movement Of BHAI

·         Recognition of Bhojpuri will open the flood gate for Jobs to the Bhojpuri Speaking people all across the country

·          Speakers demanded speedy inclusion of Bhojpuri language in the 8th Schedule of Constitution

·         A new Chapter of BHAI will be open to Guwahati very soon.

·         Speakers hailed Prof. Arindam Chaudhari for his historical contribution made by publishing a world class Magazine The Sunday Indian in Bhojpuri language and getting his most popular Book KHUD ME KHOJIN HEERA (DISCOVER THE DIAMOND IN YOU )translated in Bhojpuri too.



The Sunday Indian, Bhojpuri, Bhojpuri association of India (BHAI)
and Global Bhojpuri Movement had a very important meeting at Guwahati on 22nd of Oct. 2010. The meeting was called to strengthen Global movement for the recognition of Bhojpuri language in the 8th schedule of Indian Constitution. Chief Guest was Mr. Onkareshwar Pandey, Executive Editor of The Sunday Indian, and Executive Director of Bhojpuri Association of India (BHAI).

The meeting held at the premises of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Guwahati. Apart from the Director of the Sansthan, there were many Bhojpuri Intellectuals, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Educationists, Journalists and Editors were also present. Shri Ratnesh Kumar was the convenor of the whole meeting. The participants included some of the representatives of Bhojpuri Organizations also.

Get the recognition of Bhojpuri language under Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

Shri Pandey presented two copies of the Bhojpuri Edition of the Book
DISCOVER THE DIAMOND IN YOU (written by India’s famous Management Guru Prof. Arindam Chaudhary) to Shri Satyanand Pathak, Editor of Hindi Daily Purvoday and Shri Vashishth Pandey, Executive Editor of Hindi Daily Purvanchal Prahari.

It is important to note that lacs of Bhojpuri speaking people are living in the entire North Eastern region in which the largest chunk lives in Assam. Guwahati based Hindi newspapers have been publishing Bhojpuri Vyangya (Satire) and other materials since last two decades.
A new Bhojpuri Monthly Magazine titled BHOJPURI DUNIYA is also being published from Guawahati. Shri pandey distributed the copies of Bhojpuri edition of The Sunday Indian, which was much appreciated there.

Dr. Dharmdeo Tiwari, former HOD, Hindi, Guwahati University, Shri Ajyendra Nath Trivedi, Shri Shailendra Singh and other speakers supported the need of speedy recognition of Bhojpuri under Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

Dr. Dharmdeo Tiwari told that Bhojpuri should be made more Economy or market oriented. Shri satyanand Pathak said although he is a Maithili Speaking, but he will speak in Bhojpuri. He underlined the need of recognition of Bhojpuri by saying this will open the flood gate for Jobs to the Bhojpuri Speaking and knowing people all across the country. Shri Vashishth Pandey also Supported the move and promised full support to The Sunday Indian, Bhojpuri, Bhojpuri association of India (BHAI) and Global Bhojpuri Movement for this cause.

A new Chapter of BHAI will be open to Guwahati. Shri Ratnesh Kumar, a senior Journalist, promised to take initiative for completion of the formalities and declared that he will dedicate himself for this cause.
